DaisyDisk is a file manager to find and create more free disk space on any Mac Powerbook or Macbook Air. The package creates a disk map to help navigate the area of the disk that are taking up the most space. DaisyDisk 4 scans any of your mounted volumes—including network-attached storage—faster than previous versions. Click the Scan button next to the drive you want to calculate; DaisyDisk can.
Why having two editions?
Mac App Store submission guidelines have certain requirements for what an app can and can’t do. One of such requirements is inability to operate in privileged mode.
While being generally useful (as it prevents some apps from damaging your system) this requirement may influence functionality of applications that need low-level system access. In order to comply with these rules we’ve removed a few features from the Mac App Store edition of DaisyDisk.

Version migration
If you wish to migrate from the Mac App Store to the stand-alone edition, simply download the stand-alone app. It will detect your Mac App Store purchase and work without requiring a key. Alternatively, you can send your purchase receipt or a screenshot of your App Store’s Purchased tab with DaisyDisk visible to support@daisydiskapp.com and we’ll send you back the key.
